“I first learned about Healing Touch in 1991. I’ve had some amazing instructors and mentors. I’m currently certified with both HBB and HTA and have been self employed doing Healing Touch for both humans and animals since 2009. I’m certified with HBB to teach Course 1, and I coordinate Course 4&5 classes in MN. It’s an honor to be a part of NCHT, ensuring our community can continue to flourish moving into the future. I’m 30 years in to Healing Touch and am still in awe regularly with how amazing this work is.”

"I have been a nurse for over 30 years and am currently working at TRIA Orthopedic Center. I have worked in Neurology, Neurosurgical ICU, Cardiac, and Hospice nursing. Many professional and personal experiences lead me to take Healing Touch classes.

Healing Touch fit in perfectly with all the self-care and holistic health care that I learned in Nursing School at University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and restored my passion for nursing.

My strong desire to share my passion for Healing Touch motivated me to become an instructor of Healing Touch.

I have been an active member of the NCHT Community for many years. I have served on the board previously, I am joining the Board again now, during this critical time for our community.”

“I started my journey in healing touch in 2017. I was interested in seeing what it was about, I was hooked after the first class. I have completed levels 1-5 and I have just received my certificate for Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. My education is in accounting. I am currently employed as a special education paraprofessional in my local district. I enjoy being a helper at Healing Touch classes, my favorite class to help at is level 1 when the practitioners discover their energy. I love being part of this community.”

“I am an Artist, Animal Behaviorist, Freelance Graphic Designer, Webpage builder, Dog Trainer & Dog Groomer. My life revolves around Art, Animals, and Energy Medicine.

Growing up as an Empath and sensitive child was difficult in a family without knowledge of energy medicine. My mom and I used to get into heated debates around why I believed what I believed.

My first introduction to any type of Energy Medicine came through the martial arts and understanding Chi. I was encouraged to seek out Reiki to learn more, naturally, I pushed and pulled at my mom to join me. One day, she finally agreed to go to an Energy Medicine class with me. She had found Healing Touch. That class changed both our lives, and now we both serve on the board.

I have completed Levels 1-4 through Healing Beyond Borders and Level 1 of Aromatherapy through ISHA. I hope I can make a difference by helping bring the next generation into the community, while still maintaining a close connection with everyone currently part of this wonderful community.”

“Growing up in a small dairy farming community I learned to respect, honor and love the land. My curiosity and appreciation of the world continued to grow in the early years that set a foundation to listen to the heart. I found a passion for growing plants while achieving my Bachelors’ degree in Plant Science. When my daughter begged me to take an energy class with her, I was skeptical. I agreed with reluctance as it unfolded a new beginning of a chapter of my life to change dramatically. My journey continued as sharing this amazing gift inspired me to become a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. Seeing how Healing Touch has impacted people’s lives, my whole world expanded discovering the healing energy of plants leading to Certification as a Clinical Aromatherapist. The hunger continued to grow, causing a rippling effect to become a massage therapist allowing me to incorporate all the gifts I had learned to help others. In 2018 a new chapter unfolded as I left the corporate world to become a fulltime healer. The deeper need to connect to other healers the North Central Healing Touch Community enabled a way to connect to my tribe and it is my great honor to help others on the same journey.”

“I am a lifelong learner. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, a yoga Alliance RYT 500certified yoga instructor, a Wahl's Protocol certified Practitioner and a Healing Touch Practitioner CHTP. I work as a nurse in a flex time capacity at a rural critical access hospital. I combine the other practices into a business "Taming Thistles".

Together with my husband, we raised 4 children, and are delighted to welcome grandchildren in our ever-expanding family. Yoga and the protocol align with my practice as a nurse and a Healing Touch practitioner. I use all the practices to promote healing. I often use the quote ‘You cannot pour into someone else from an empty pot, so fill yourself to overflowing. Share the overflow, and you will remain filled!’”

"I spent an almost 40 year career with a large banking organization in various commercial lending roles and as a manager.  I officially retired from the industry in 2020.   Over the last decade before I retired, I was introduced to several forms of energetic healing, and took my first healing touch class (HTP 1) October 2013. It was at that point I became enamored with Healing Touch and the potentials it unfolded.

I was further drawn to the Healing Touch for Animals (HTA) methodology because of my deep affinity for animals.   Over time and with the support of my mentor, family & friends I became a certified HTA practitioner as of July 2021.   Using HTA and some other techniques including essential oils, I continue to learn and grow with each animal session in my current practice where I commonly work on dogs, cats, horses and some cattle.

I welcome NCHT board membership as a way to give back and help support its mission to bring continued learning & promotion of energetic healing work to the community..”

“I spent most of my working life as a microbiologist and then as nonprofit management consultant.  In 2016, I began a journey to get certified in 2022 in Healing Touch through Healing Beyond Borders. Throughout that 6 year journey, I was blessed with wonderful teachers, a patient mentor, a supportive family, and a strong belief in continuous learning. I see being a member of this Board as a way to give back to the community that sustained and taught me about energy work.”
